I am so sorry to hear that these folks are also hurting so badly due to the coronavirus. Starting with an onsite visit during a vacation in Alaska, later online, we have made several purchases from them and have always been very happy with our purchases as well as their service. They offer unique items you will never find anywhere else...highly recommended!

If you are a Chess enthusiast and fanatic, this Store has many Chess sets!! Most, if not all, of them are handmade. Russia does have the most Chess Champions, after all. I did appreciate the Chess representation at this establishment!!

My fiancé and I visited Sitka late April, and we decided to wander with no goals or destination in mind. We just wanted to see whatever Alaska wanted us to see that day. As we wandered the town, we found this shop and let me tell you - they have some of the most incredible pieces I saw at any port during our Alaskan cruise. My fiancé fell in love with a bear carved out of moose antler and decided he HAD to have it. Every time someone comes to visit our home, it would be the first thing he showed them - he was so proud of it. Fast forward to August and we were dogsitting for a friend. One of the dogs got a hold of this beautiful little bear and chewed him up, leaving teeth marks and biting off a leg. My fiancé was devastated. I quickly took the website to see if I could find a replacement for him and there were no bears listed. I took a shot and sent a message through the "contact us" page about the tragedy and Larissa was quick to respond, send pictures of the remaining bears in stock, and help me find a new moose antler bear. I am beyond blown away, not only by the artwork they have to offer, but the incredible customer service. Larissa went above and beyond for us and I will be quick to recommend this store to all my friends and family, should they also visit Alaska. This shop is an absolute MUST if you are in Sitka.

I visited this amazing store a few years ago while on a cruise. It was summer but I did my Christmas shopping there. Family and friends were delighted with rare and unique gifts. I'm going on a cruise later this year and when we get to Sitka guess what my first stop will be? You're right! This fabulous store!

This is a special gift shop with true quality and unique items. We wanted to buy an Ulu (Alaskan skinning knife) but could not bring it aboard the ship. No problem for them, they said they would mail it and it should arrive in 5 to 7 business days. It got to us the day after we got home—5 days after purchase. Shipped from Sitka and received in Florida 5 days later! This was not one of those cheap things so many shops sell, but a true quality item that will last for many, many years.

When traveling to Sitka AK. I highly recommend you visit The Russian American Co. This privately owned store is operated by true adventurists dedicated to preserving and promoting authentic Alaskan and Russian artistry. I absolutely loved the unique selection of hand carved everything! But, my favorite pieces of art were the carved whale bone. I've never seen anything like it! This store is on par with the (must-see) Sitka museum! I suggest you visit their website!

Unique store with a lot of items that show the Russian influence in the area. There are souvenirs at all prices, but also it is worth visiting because it is like a museum, very entertaining. It is not a store for small kids, there are a lot of things around. The staff is friendly and willing to help. We spent some time here, a lot to see. There are several Czar-related items.

Very special offerings. They have impressive pieces. They had a 20 set matryoshka doll set for $2000. Beautiful, impressive, need a massive shelf for them all. Otherwise there are beautiful sets for $300, or cute mini ones for $30 that fit in your hand. Worth a visit!
